The Rivergate Centre in Irvine is the largest shopping centre in Ayrshire. It comprises 28,800 sq m (310,000 sq ft) of retail space housing 67 retail units anchored by Asda, Primark, Wilkinson’s, Boots, Deichmann, Argos and New Look. Other tenants include JJB, Dorothy Perkins, Vodafone, Clarks and Burtons. The centre also operates a 3 hours free 1,100 space car park.
Irvine is the principle town and commercial centre of North Ayrshire and one of the main employment areas for the region with many international companies electing to locate here.
The town is home to the Magnum Leisure Centre, which is one of Scotland’s top regional attractions and includes an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, Ice Rink, Indoor Bowling, Theatre/Concert Hall, Gym, Kiddies play areas and many more. Irvine has also benefitted from a spectacular Harbourside regeneration project, incorporating a major development by the Scottish Maritime Museum.
